INTRODUCTION


Paris, the capital of France, is located in northern central France. Central Paris is divided in two by the Seine, with 20 districts or arrondissements. The Rive Droite includes the Avenue des Champs-Élysées which runs west to the Arc de Triomphe. East of the avenue is the Musée du Louvre, the Centre Georges Pompidou and an area of museums, restaurants and shops. South of the Centre Georges Pompidou on the Île de la Cité is the world-famous Notre Dame. The Rive Gauche on the south side is where you will find the Eiffel Tower.
